Parramore Market is a community micro-grocery where registered individuals and families can select groceries at no cost. Please read this page before your visit.
Who Can Shop
Parramore Market is open to Orange County residents only. You must register before shopping.

Market Days and Hours
Wednesdays, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM: Senior Shopping Day, for registered seniors ages 60 and older only.
Saturdays, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM: General Shopping Day, for all other registered individuals and families.
Shopping Guidelines
Each household may shop once every 14 days. This applies to the whole household, not just the person who registered.
Only one registered shopper per household is allowed. We verify addresses, so please make sure your registration information is accurate.
Seniors, and shoppers with disabilities who need assistance, may bring one support person. That person is there to help only and cannot shop for themselves or receive a separate allocation of groceries.
When You Arrive
To keep the area safe for our neighbors, we can’t allow lines outside the market. When you arrive, our staff and volunteers will give you a shopping number. Please wait in your vehicle until we call you.
Park in the designated area on Givens Street. Please do not park on Westmoreland Drive or block driveways, business entrances or traffic.
Bring Your Own Bags
Parramore Market does not provide grocery bags. Please bring reusable bags to carry your groceries home.
Food Availability
Our groceries come from donations and purchases, so our selection changes from visit to visit. Some items may have quantity limits, and specific products are not guaranteed.
Dignity and Respect
We treat every shopper with dignity, kindness and respect, and we ask the same for our staff, volunteers and fellow shoppers. Thank you for following our guidelines. They help us serve as many families as possible.

For years, families in Parramore have faced a reality many communities take for granted: finding healthy, affordable food is often difficult, inconsistent, and dependent on temporary solutions. Food drives come and go. Emergency distributions provide relief for a few days. Resources are scattered across the city. And the need remains.
At The Desire Foundation, we have spent the last six years listening to residents, distributing food, connecting families to resources, and walking alongside a community that has too often been overlooked. That work taught us something important: food insecurity is not simply a food problem. It is a health problem, a transportation problem, an economic problem, a community problem — and solving it requires more than a food pantry.
Parramore Market is our answer. Located in the heart of Parramore, it is a first-of-its-kind micro grocery store and community resource hub designed to provide consistent access to healthy food while connecting residents to the services and opportunities they need to thrive. Built by The Desire Foundation and shaped by community input, the market combines free food access, affordable groceries, health-focused initiatives, and wraparound support under one roof — not just a store or a program, but neighborhood infrastructure and a long-term investment in the people of Parramore.
